Censorship

This episode was made into episode 26 in the English dub titled "Grandpa’s Follies" since episodes 2, 5, 6 & 20 were cut. All the bathing related moments of the episode were surprisingly left uncensored. The English dub did have a unique scene transition animation that was used during it to switch to the next scene involving what was going on with Rei's grandfather.

This episode first aired in Japan on October 31st, 1992. The English debut was on October 16th, 1995.

Manga Differences

This entire episode is not in the manga and is a filler episode exclusive to the anime.

Trivia

• Rei's bathroom later appears in episode 136. Both scenes involving this bathing facility are exclusive to the anime.
• Rei seemed to be ok with being seen bathing through the window but then didn't like being seen getting dressed in the scene afterwards.
• While we don't physically see Rei Standing In The Bath, it is implied that is what is happening when she is looking out the window since the window is shown to be much higher than the bathtub in the next shot where she is shown sitting in it.
