The Persona franchise is part of the Megami Tensei franchise (abbreviated as MegaTen) which began with the "Digital Devil Story" released September 1987. The "Persona" series of games began in 1996 as part of the "Shin Megami Tensei" line, which began in 1992. Multiple anime adaptations of Persona games were later made.

Binah is the only known sea that crosses the Abyss. It is a vast body of water that is also called "the Sea of Harvest" by the residents of a nearby town, a reference to the powers of this ocean to give life to demons when attended by someone capable of preserving it's fertility. In the past, this role was the responsibility of the goddess Ishtar, before she was punished by God and stripped of her form and sanity. It's also in these waters that the beautiful nymph Fury tends to bathe herself, and where the player can acquire her magical robe.

Ganga: It is believed that bathing in her sacred waters can wash away sin and that continued ritualistic bathing will earn a person a place in heaven.

Scylla: In legend, Circe poisoned Scylla's bathing water, so that when Scylla bathed next, she became a grotesque sea monster with six heads.

w:c:MegamiTensei:Tsukuyomi was born from w:c:MegamiTensei:Izanagi's right eye when Izanagi took a bath after descending to the underworld.

Shin Megami Tensei

The story begins with a dream sequence as the nameless Protagonist is led through a formless hallway to meet a crucified man, a man tortured by demons, and a beautiful woman bathing who pledges to be with him eternally.

She is later revealed to be Yuriko, revealed to be Lilith.

Soul Hackers

Second game shows Tlazolteotl, goddess of Steam Baths, submerged in a kind of compact steam bathing device.

Vouivres (see figure) are also known as ``Guivre``, and the terms have become synonymous. For example, in The Drac: French Tales of Dragons and Demons, the vouivre is depicted as a female creature with dazzling, green scales which emanate sound as the vouivre flies. The vouivre is depicted as greedy, her head crowned with pearls and a golden ring about her tail. The beast in this story stayed in a cave for most of her time, then left to bathe only for a few minutes.

Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army

Third game has a bathing scene. The player actually battles gangsters (as [[Raidou Kuzunoha) in the bath.

"See that Daikoku-Yu Public Bathhouse behind me? Go inside, and pay him a visit."
"Raidou Kuzunoha and his faithful catlike companion, Gouto, entered the Bath house."

Afterward, Satake Kenzou who had witnessed this, is impressed and becomes Raidou's informant. Satake likes to drink cider after baths.

The character Shizu Iida also works in a Bath House.

Persona series

Persona 3

Mitsuru Kirijo has a towel scene at some point.

Persona 3 Portable

Features several girls at a Hot Spring in towels:

Ryoji Mochizuki, along with Junpei, attempted to get in the hotspring along with the girls by "mistaking" the time. Regardless, Yukari, Mitsuru, Fuuka, and Aigis later showed up in the hotspring, much to Akihiko's panic and fear. Depending on the protagonist's actions, he could either escape from the girls' visions or being caught for peeping them bathing. Should the protagonist successfully avoid the girls' visions, Ryoji, along with Junpei will faint from staying in the hotspring too long.
