Gods

Binah is the only known sea that crosses the Abyss. It is a vast body of water that is also called "the Sea of Harvest" by the residents of a nearby town, a reference to the powers of this ocean to give life to demons when attended by someone capable of preserving it's fertility. In the past, this role was the responsibility of the goddess Ishtar, before she was punished by God and stripped of her form and sanity. It's also in these waters that the beautiful nymph Fury tends to bathe herself, and where the player can acquire her magical robe.

Ganga: It is believed that bathing in her sacred waters can wash away sin and that continued ritualistic bathing will earn a person a place in heaven.

Scylla: In legend, Circe poisoned Scylla's bathing water, so that when Scylla bathed next, she became a grotesque sea monster with six heads.

Tsukuyomi was born from Izanagi's right eye when Izanagi took a bath after descending to the underworld.

Vouivres (see figure) are also known as ``Guivre``, and the terms have become synonymous. For example, in The Drac: French Tales of Dragons and Demons, the vouivre is depicted as a female creature with dazzling, green scales which emanate sound as the vouivre flies. The vouivre is depicted as greedy, her head crowned with pearls and a golden ring about her tail. The beast in this story stayed in a cave for most of her time, then left to bathe only for a few minutes.
