Episode 10

Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Soryu and Misato Katsuragi go to an Onsen. While Shinji is bathing on the males side of the Hot Spring with Pen-Pen, the conversation on the girls side can be heard. Hilarity ensues when Asuka yells at Shinji to pass over the soap which stands up and literally throws over the fence, prompting Asuka to complain about where he just hit her. The dazzled look of pet penguin Pen-Pen hints that her "Dirty Talking" gives Shinji some sort of "Thermal Expansion" below his waist. On the girls side, Asuka sees a scar on Misato's stomach.

The TV version of the scene shows that the tank contains less Rei Ayanami clones and they don't have nipples on their breasts. There is also less footage screentime of the clones and doesn't focus on the clones being destroyed like seen in the Director's cut version.

Episode 24

Asuka Langley Soryu attempts to commit Suicide in a rusty old Clawfoot Bathtub that is in a destroyed house. As she lays in the Blood Bath, her clothes are seen neatly folded and a NERV agent walks in finding her and interrupts her suicide by bringing her back to the headquarters. Due to her mental state at the time, she apparently didn't care about being seen naked by the agent as she showed no reaction.

Later on, after Shinji Ikari meets Kaworu Nagisa, they bathe together in a Public Bath at NERV.

Asuka's bathtub scene on TV airings

The TV airings of Asuka's bathtub scene had a darkened shadow over the bathtub to have Asuka's naked body barely shown.
