Umineko no Naku Koro ni

File:Umineko no Naku Koro ni cover.jpg

Umineko no Naku Koro ni (meaning "When the Seagulls Cry" sometimes alternatively "black-tailed gulls" rather than seagull) is a spinoff of the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series. Its name difference derives from it taking place on an island (populated by seagulls) rather than a town full of Cicadas (Higurashi).

Game

Part 19

Titled "Those Who Remain Shall Tear Apart The Two Who Are Close" from this thread

Eva was on top of her bed, but the other bed was empty.

...Where was Hideyoshi?!

After taking a backwards glance at Kumasawa, still on her knees and stupefied, he checked the bathroom just in case.

At the moment he opened the door, he was greeted by steam and the sound of the shower.

That waterproof curtain was half open, ...and lying tumbled down in the bathtub was Hideyoshi, completely naked, both eyes still open..., and those eyes were pointing right at Kanon.

Er. They appear to be...closed and pointed downward, actually...

Oh, and our culprit is killing people with drills now, I guess. Demonic ones.

Just like Eva, a weapon with a demon-like design was stuck into his forehead.

Since his head had been under the hot water of shower the whole time, his face wasn't half covered and filthy with blood like Eva's had been, ...but the sight of him dead while still taking a shower was tragic enough...

• Umineko19-1.jpg

The bathroom was of the same familiar style as most hotel bathrooms. When taking a shower, a waterproof curtain was used to keep water from flying out.

"This is truly atrocious... Kanon, turn off the shower... Don't let this be any more pitiful than it needs to...!"

"Y, ...yes."

Kanon gripped his handkerchief and twisted the valve, turning off the shower.

In the bathtub, a small jar of body soap had fallen with its cap off.

...It really looked like he had been attacked while taking a shower.

...There was still a small splash of blood clinging to the white bathtub, and the combination of red and white made a horrible contrast.

Natsuhi, hoping to escape the repulsive steam filling the bathroom as soon as she could, covered her mouth with a handkerchief and dashed from the room...

TIPS

• w:c:Umineko:TIPS/Notes From a Certain Cook:

Genji-san was in charge of the rounds, so I returned to the servants resting room when finished my stuff and then healed the fatigue of the day taking a shower carefreely. (I had lots of fatigue and everything else at the rose garden, though...)

Since it's Genji-san who is calling, what on earth could have happened, I thought, and, in a rush, I picked the receiver while covering myself with a bath towel.

• w:c:Umineko:TIPS/The Seven Sisters' Valentine:

Tradition demands that the kitchens of demons must have a cauldron. One larger than the average household bath, …since it’s meant for stewing human meat, naturally.
(does demons stewing humans in a cauldron qualify as a hot tub?)

• w:c:Umineko:TIPS/The Witches' Tanabata:

A fun meal between mother and daughter was only the beginning of a fun family lifestyle. I'll make tea for Mama. As we drink our delicious tea together, we'll watch TV. Then I'll heat up the bath, and we'll take a bath together. I'll even put in one of those bubble-filled bath bombs that Mama loves. Then we'll splash around having fun in the tub, and make even more bubbles. Then she'll kiss me goodnight, get things ready for tomorrow, and go to sleep.
